In this post, I'll be writing about Harry's Pluto placements in this birth chart. According to Jeff Green, Pluto placement in the birth chart shows where the soul is on its evolutionary path in this life. Rather than go into detail about the placements, I'll just cut to the chase because if you're not well versed in astrology, it'll be boring to read.
When I wrote the first draft of this...ooooh, boy! It was waaay to long, so I'm going to make it even shorter. In working with clients, however, my reports will be a heck of a lot longer than this post.
Many of Pluto's aspects (i.e., connections) to the various planets indicate past evolutionary intent, meaning Harry has been working on a specific karmic issue/soul growth for awhile. As with everyone, we all have choices: to stay stuck in familiar patterns or to stand on the precipice and jump into the unknown, which contains our soul growth. Under stress, we do have a tendency to revert back to our old habits. Of course, the goal is to transcend and create more productive, mature, and healed ways of reacting and behaving.
In looking more in depth at Harry's 11th house placement, as I wrote about before, this has to do with the hive mind, social reform, hopes and wishes. Since I feel he was Henry VIII in a past life, I think he was trapped in that previous life, specifically in having to produce a healthy male heir. Yet instead of changing the rules of succession that would be life affirming to females (and to himself as well), he broke with the Catholic Church. That was certainly a huge social reform, but again, the better social reform would've been not viewing male heirs as much more desirable than female heirs.
How fast this life's evolutionary pace is indicative of how many aspects (i.e., connections) between Pluto and the other heavenly bodies in the birth chart. There are quite a few in Harry's chart: 13, plus North and South Nodes. I'd say he's on a heavy evolutionary pace in this life. It's no wonder his life is such a tumult, especially since he doesn't appear to be handling it all that well. Sure, he may say he's the happiest he's ever been, but is someone really happy when they've alienated most of the people they've loved? Maybe, maybe not.
The Pluto-Uranus aspect suggests he's beginning his journey into self-discovery. Life experiences will become more meaningful and not so random. This is to get his attention. It appears his soul is trying to dramatically transform both his inner and outer life.
The Mars-Pluto aspect: intensifies breaking from the past. This isn't his first life in trying to do so. He's learning karmic lessons about what he wants. Harry's soul really chafes at restrictions and limitations, which causes inner conflict. This planetary aspect, a semi-square, is usually negative, unless you choose to rise above it, and work at doing so. There's potential for either total self-transformation or self-destruction. Harry seems to be leaning heavily towards one side now. Some negatives: being very egotistical, power seeking, and refusing to care what consequences their behavior causes. Sometimes the soul will subconsciously self-sabotage to jar the ego into doing some much needed inner work. The goal of this placement is to get the ego out of the way and live more in tune with what his eternal soul wants.
The Neptune-Pluto placement is more favorable than the Mars: the soul is attempting to consciously understand this evolutionary phase. Again, this calls for doing the inner work and reflecting upon his actions. Fortunately, there's indication that Harry might be naturally intuitive, and this will help him greatly - if he genuinely wants to seek the truth. Again, though, the soul might self-sabotage; he may have subconsciously caused confrontations in order to teach him how to better handle things, such as, perhaps, learning to communicate better. This placement also indicates the soul wants to expand beyond the limitations of social setting, family, and/or himself, but may self-sabotage due to wanting to be stuck in that victim mentality. He can become very rigid in this state.
For the Moon-Pluto aspect, it's a little wide, but I'm intuiting and including it because it can indicate emotional difficulties with women and/or mother figures. They can be very dominating and controlling, so he may have unresolved emotional needs where it comes to women. This evolutionary phase is just starting in this life and is trying to help him with self-image.
Chiron-Pluto aspect: Harry's soul's purpose has been, and is being, refined further. I feel this has to do with healing his wounds, since Chiron is the wounded healer. I'm not sure if his scorched earth tell-all is helping. There are much healthier ways to tell his side of the story without throwing people under the bus and being petty, (my brother is balding). Plus, he certainly didn't need to air dirty laundry out in public.
Regarding the asteroids I "plugged in" to see if Harry is the reincarnation of Henry VIII and Meghan is the reincarnation of Anne Boleyn, Pluto has aspects to the asteroids HenriTudor, Anna, Annie, and Rachel. (As I mentioned in my previous post, there’s no asteroid named Anne and no asteroid named Meghan, but Rachel is Markle's legal first name). The asteroids are waning aspects, so Harry has dealt with this situation and soul in past lives; however, things currently appear quite rocky for all involved. His lesson is to try a different approach, instead of reverting back to old ways of behaving.
The asteroid Henry is waxing to Pluto, so in this life, he's newly learning of his conscious relation to the Cosmos and reconciling his past, current, and future lives. At this point, the soul can learn, or it can refuse and resist change. This is another evolutionary step in his growth, and if he doesn't learn it in this life, he's got more lives to learn it it.
Mercury-Pluto aspect indicates another evolutionary phase. The lesson: realize he has a special destiny and to share it, but there's a huge risk of buggering it all due to a strong potential for delusion. If he wanted to "modernize" the monarchy, he could've gone about it a different way - a way that honored him and others. (Again, he comes across as very petty and a perpetual victim). Perhaps this desire to stick it to the monarchy comes from his past life as Henry VIII and the rigidity of producing only a male heir. Maybe he wanted to extract revenge on the institution and thinks he has a special purpose to bring it down. (Heck, didn't Edward VIII - another VIII - stick it to the monarchy due to a woman.... Henry VIII and Edward VIII and now Harry - all seem to have had challenges with love that they couldn't handle, which resulted in ramifications on the monarchy. I wonder if Edward is the same soul, but Wallis is definitely not Meghan).
At any rate, the delusions/confusions of this aspect can be arighted by doing the inner work and confronting the shadow side. There might be a tendency to be defensive, but there needs to be openness to consider different view points. Mercury helps with analyzing and learning, but again, Harry needs to have an open mind so he can learn and heal. This aspect also heralds a need to test the boundaries - be it society's taboos or parental figures, which I feel would include the monarchy.
Well, there are a lot more aspects I could go into regarding Pluto placements. Plus, the South and North Nodes include even more, but I think I'll stop here. There's a commonality to all of these placements - whether just starting, in the middle, or having dealt with it before in one or more lives. Harry does seem to have a big wound around the monarchy, and if he was Henry VIII (and maybe Edward VIII), yes, he would have a lot of complicated feelings about the institution. No wonder he is coming back again to try to work within the system - to either bring it down or modernize it. However, the way he's currently going about it is very unproductive and will cause him more karma to overcome in the future.
Anyhoo…
This is how I see Harry's growth right now: in his book, he described in detail the "older" woman he lost his virginity to. (She was 19 - not much of an "older" woman). Harry didn't warn her he was writing about her (so much for anyone else's privacy); she found out about it from his book. She knew their mutual friends would very much know it was her, so she came forward to get ahead of the whole "kiss and tell," ungentlemanly betrayal. For her brief moment in the spotlight, she auctioned off a stuffed animal Harry had given to her; she donated the money to charity.
Now let's look at Harry. He wanted to bring attention to mental illness, so he televised one of his counseling sessions; however, people had to pay $34 to see it. No word if all that money went to any charity. Plus, if he's trying to show people that going to a counseling session isn't a scary thing, shouldn't it have been shared freely? Hmmm...
Suffice it to say, Harry has so many lessons (as do we all) to learn, and the bottom line is, we need to get out of our conditioning and egoic needs to start the process of uncovering all those societal and familial layers put upon us. We need to discover who we truly are.
Look, I totally get not wanting to get lost in the Great Cosmos/Divine Creator/whatever you want to call it. We still want to maintain a sense of separate identity, but I don't think it's as either/or as that. We need to become consciously aware that we are a drop in the ocean, but in our drop, we contain the ocean.
(Of course, I shall say the usual caveat about astrology: For entertainment purposes only.)
such an interesting choice of subject ( if it might use that term, for Harry!?) and interesting exploration, thank you.. especially the highly aspected Pluto and the intuitive feel into that Moon influence and relationship with women.. A lot of transpersonals "happening." Wondering whether this ties in also with Harry seeing himself as "the voice of a generation." The more transpersonals, the more karmic, I always feel.. Love this, Tracy, who'd have thought it? What a stroke of inspiration to look into Hal 8 and the legacy of an heir.. and the dilemmas of being an heir.. brilliant.
